Where Tradition Meets the Table

Handcrafted pasta, time-honored recipes, and the finest Italian wines — served in the heart of Zürich since 2008.

A Taste of Italy in Every Bite

At Osteria Nove, every dish tells a story — one that begins in the sun-drenched countryside of Emilia-Romagna and unfolds on your plate here in Zürich. Our kitchen is built on family recipes passed down through three generations, each one a testament to the belief that great food starts with great ingredients, honest hands, and an unhurried respect for tradition.

We source the finest seasonal produce, import our olive oil and cheeses directly from small Italian producers, and make every strand of pasta by hand, fresh each morning. Whether you are joining us for a quiet dinner for two or a lively celebration with friends, our doors are open, our wine is poured, and our table is yours.

The Osteria Experience

01

Handmade Pasta

Every morning, our pastai roll, cut, and shape fresh pasta by hand using time-honoured techniques. From silky tagliatelle to delicate ravioli, each piece is crafted with care and cooked to order — just as it should be.

02

Curated Wines

Our sommelier has personally selected over 120 labels from Italy's most celebrated regions — Piedmont, Tuscany, Sicily, and beyond. Whether you prefer a bold Barolo or a crisp Vermentino, we will find the perfect pairing for your meal.

03

Warm Hospitality

Step through our door and you become part of the family. Our team is dedicated to creating an atmosphere that is at once refined and relaxed — a place where conversation flows as freely as the wine and every guest leaves as a friend.

Three Generations of Pasta Making

It all began in a small kitchen in Bologna, where Nonna Elena taught her granddaughter the art of sfoglia — the paper-thin sheet of egg pasta that is the foundation of Emilian cooking. Those early lessons in patience, precision, and love became the heart of what Osteria Nove is today.

When the Marchetti family brought their recipes to Zürich in 2008, they carried with them more than ingredients and technique. They brought a philosophy: that food should be simple, seasonal, and shared with joy. Three generations later, that philosophy has not changed — and neither has Nonna Elena's ragù.
